Part-time Setup and Changeover Crew
The Wisconsin Center District’s Set-up Staff move, set up, break down and store the furniture, fixtures and equipment needed for events in the facilities owned and operated by the Wisconsin Center District. In addition, set-up workers may be assigned light interior and exterior maintenance tasks.
Set-up crews’ main duties include setting up and taking down risers, chairs, tables, sports surfaces, dance floors and platforms for meetings and events in the Wisconsin Center, UWM Panhter Arena and Miller High Life Theatre. Secondary duties include general maintenance and upkeep of interior and exterior areas of the premises including snow shoveling and salting, lawn moving and general beautification.
Set-up workers may be asked to work late shifts, to be available for extended hours and emergency call-outs, and to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments. All Wisconsin Center District employees are expected to report on time when assigned, deal harmoniously with guests, employees and outside contractors, provide directions and assistance to guests when asked, and be able to comprehend and follow instructions, work independently and efficiently, and exercise initiative, resourcefulness and good judgment.
