We appreciate our employees every day, and we especially like when our happy clients appreciate them, as well. Following is a letter WCD CEO Russell Staerkel and Director of Event Services Tom Nicholson received from Jenni Isfan, President of Summit Events Management & Consulting complimenting Greg Doiron.
Greg is one of our hard-working events managers who ensures our clients have the best experience possible when they hold an event at the Wisconsin Center. We appreciate Jenni taking the time to share this:
Dear Tom and Russell,
I am the Operations Manager with AC Business Media and we had our show, CP&S, at your venue at the end of October. I want to apologize for my tardiness in sending this note. It certainly doesn’t reflect my appreciation for your staff’s support during our company’s event so please excuse the delay.
Your people are wonderful. From the security personnel to the lovely woman who worked taking orders for electrical, to the amazing electricians who had things done before I finished saying what I needed!. The staff we had the pleasure of working with were all very competent, conscientious people who went out of their way to be both helpful and friendly. You have a great group there.
On a more specific note, I would really like to take the time to tell you how wonderful it was working with Greg. Greg was patient, methodical and persistent as we led up to the show. This was a real asset to our team as a number of us juggle several roles and it was helpful to be reminded what information needed to be in and by when. Leading up to, and during the event, I never once heard him sound impatient or frustrated during any conversation we had and I feel confident in saying he was the only one of us who can claim that distinction! The week we were set to pour of our demo slabs Greg was able to offer recommendations and help Ryan identify challenges we had with our floorplan and help circumvent problems we could have had with our concession space. Last but not least, Greg was very responsive onsite. He arrived before me and left after me every day which was very reassuring despite me having guilt about the fact that he was working longer and harder than me each day. Eventually a girl has to tap out and go get dinner but apparently Greg is a machine.
Because of all this, I want to acknowledge Greg and to recognize his professionalism and patience. He was an asset to us during our time in Milwaukee and an asset to you because whenever anyone asks about doing an event in Milwaukee, I will be happy to recommend the venue.
Please extend my sincerest thank you to your staff for their efforts to help us roll out a successful show in Milwaukee. It was very much appreciated.
