June 21, 2010 – The Wisconsin Center District (WCD) today announced the 2010-‘11 lineup of Broadway shows at the Milwaukee Theatre, including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, the larger-than-life family friendly musical.

“Last year we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Milwaukee Theatre,” said WCD President and CEO Richard Geyer. “This season, we kick off the next 100 years of great entertainment, and we’ve landed some great shows that offer comedy, music and dancing that will appeal to all ages.

“This season is very diverse, from the fantasy of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast to the comedy of Monty Python’s Spamalot to the spectacle of Cirque Dreams Holidaze,” he said.  “I couldn’t be more pleased with this lineup and the fact that, at the Milwaukee Theatre, we are continually striving to provide quality shows at affordable prices during these very hard times.”

Tickets are initially being offered with discounts to groups of 10 or more attending the same performance, and to purchasers of tickets to three or more shows via the Milwaukee Theatre Flex Plan. Regular ticket sales for individual shows will begin this fall.
